Material Transfer Process

The sharing of research material between scientists is a frequent occurrence. However, before such material can be sent or received, the providing organization often requests a formal document be signed by an authorized representative of the provider and the recipient organization. This formal document is called a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA), and is a contract that includes terms and conditions which govern the use of the research material by the recipient investigator in his/her own research.

 

 

As part of the Material Transfer Process, UCSD requires a form be submitted internally detailing the material that is being requested to be sent or received. To initiate the material transfer process, choose from one of the 6 options below.
